Information Systems Officer

Job Summary
The main function of this position is to perform and supervise operational tasks within a bank data center. The data center is located in Luverne, Minnesota and provides services to five bank charters with 16 locations.
 
Responsibilities
Responsible for the day-to-day support of various banking systems which includes monitoring, support, and maintenance of those systems including:
  • Fiserv mobile apps
  • Fiserv online banking applications
  • Fiserv Item Processing modules
  • Ancillary Fiserv Modules
  • Centrix Dispute Tracking System, EZ Teller system
  • Assistance with other systems as requested
  • Provide 2nd level application support to enterprise-wide end users and customer Help Desk
  • Updating of the bank’s core data processing software and related systems
  • Responsible for the daily updates of the mainframe and related applications with the routine duties performed by others
  • Responsible for the customer statement preparation process including year-end tax forms
  • Responsible for various other periodic data processing procedures
  • Participate in business continuity testing
  • Participate in various risk assessments as requested
  • Supervision of selected non-exempt Data Center employees and related performance evaluations
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, or related area, or equivalent experience required
  • A minimum of 5 years experience with a data center operating environment, day-to-day operations requirements, and the operation of production systems and equipment.
  • Extensive experience with banking software applications
  • Expertise in Fiserv application functions, including system parameters
  • Working knowledge of basic network and PC operation systems, web based applications
  • Working knowledge of general bank products and services
  • Be highly adaptable to new technologies
  • Efficient time management skills and detail-oriented; ability to effectively prioritize and work effectively on multiple simultaneous tasks
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to plan, organize, and monitor work
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical users
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with others and demonstrate professionalism and courtesy
  • Solid work ethics and willingness to put in extra time/effort, including the ability to perform on-call for off-hours support and troubleshooting which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Must be a self-starter that takes initiative with a strong aptitude for problem solving
  • Reasoning Ability – Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete abilities.
  • Physical – Close vision and ability to adjust focus. Be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions
Normal office conditions with moderate noise levels.
