Credit Analyst/Loan Administrator - Austin

Job Description

First Farmers & Merchants bank in Austin is looking for a Credit Analyst/Loan Administrator in a fast paced and dynamic lending department. The Credit Analyst/Loan Administrator works as a partner with lending staff performing duties related to agricultural, commercial and consumer loan applications.

Essential Functions:
Assist lending staff with the following:

· Assist with gathering data in support of credit approval process by obtaining borrower and property information.

· Input information into credit analysis programs including FINPACK and Sageworks.

· Order services from outside service providers such as title insurance, appraisals, lien searches, environmental reports, flood certifications, certificates of good standing, outside counsel, etc.

· Organize loan files.

· Update ticklers for document exceptions and recurring document needs such as financial statements, security agreements, taxes and insurance. Assist in obtaining missing documents.

· Maintain loans on Fiserv according to loan documentation.

· Process payments, payoffs, advance and transfers. Assist customers by providing account information, documentation, customer service and technical support.

· Compute loan participation entries for payments and advances and coordinate with participating banks.

· Provide administrative support such as ordering loan documents, preparing correspondence, mailing of notices, photocopying, faxing completing worksheets, retrieval of reports, mail, etc.

· Maintain knowledge and understanding of bank’s loan policies and credit administration procedures and perform all responsibilities according to these guidelines.

· Reconcile assigned bank controlled accounts.

· Perform other duties as requested.

· Working knowledge of FINPACK and Sageworks analysis programs is preferred. Training will be provided as needed.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

The employee frequently is required to stand or sit for long periods of time.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

· This is a full-time (36-40 hours) position.

· Bank location in Austin is open Monday through Friday.

Required Education and Experience:

· High school diploma or GED

· Customer service experience

· Previous experience in a lending department, bank or comparable preferred
